Continuing a tradition begun in 2020 by then Commodore Bill Mooney, which proved to be a delightful gift in that strange yet magical summer, we will again hold informal, fun Harbor ‘Can races on Wednesday evenings, starting at 5:30 pm and aiming to conclude by 7:00 pm. These races are not part of the series, but we will find a way to celebrate the victorious, even as we focus on making sure all participants enjoy being out on the water together at a beautiful time of day. Open to Ensigns, Lasers, Dinghies, and Foxeyes.

In addition, there are numerous special races for a specific class of boat held throughout the summer, mostly in August (which will be especially busy this year). While some special races are held midweek, some fall on a Sunday, and due to the tide, the Mill River race for dinghies will be held on a Saturday this year). Consult the calendar for dates and start times.

  • The first July Adult Series race will be held Saturday, July 5th, and the series concludes on Saturday, July 26th.

  • The Fourth of July Race will be held Friday, July 4th.

  • The first August Adult Series will be held on Saturday, August 2nd, and the series concludes on Monday, August 18th.

  • The final race of the regular season will be the Pulpit Harbor race on Saturday, August 23rd.

Skipper’s Meetings

Skippers’ Meetings are scheduled for all those who intend to race. We will cover the sailing instructions, courses, starting sequences, rules and protests, and seek input from the fleet. The first Skippers’ Meeting is Saturday, July 5th, and the August meeting is scheduled for Saturday, August 2nd. Both start at 1300 before the series race. Attendance is strongly encouraged for all skippers and crew.
